Celestron X-Cel Series 1-1/4″ 2.3mm Eyepiece

Celestron X-Cel Series 1-1/4" 2.3mm Eyepiece
Product Description
If you are looking for an eyepiece that excels for planetary viewing, then Celestron's X-Cel offers the unique features you are looking for. A 6-element fully multi-coated optical design, the X-Cel utilizes extra low dispersion (ED) glass on its most highly curved surfaces, to minimize chromatic aberration that can hinder sharp planetary views. With a wide 55° apparent field of view, and a large 25mm clear aperture the X-Cel is one of the most comfortable eyepieces to use. Every X-Cel eyepiece is parfocal with each other, meaning little or no focusing is needed when changing from low to high power. The X-Cel comes with soft rubber eyecups and a durable plastic case. In addition, if you are an eyeglass wearer, you will enjoy the 20mm eye relief available on each of the X-Cel focal lengths. Threaded barrels accept 1-1/4" Celestron thread-in filters.

For the alphabetizing, use "filters".
1) Add a row to the top of your spreadsheet (it will be row one)
2) Label each column (i.e. Title, Author, Publisher)
3) Select that top row.
4) Go to the Bar menu and select "Data", then "Filter", then "AutoFilter".
What this will do is add a pull down select box for each column.
5) The pull down select box will allow you to alphabetize each item in the column. You could do all sorts of data sorting.
As for symbols, I may be doing it the hard way, but I copy/paste from word into the cells.
Good luck.

I am doing that same abstract. I get some of it but I'm stuck on the part where you do the brief research.

Please help!!
How far you can see is a direct function of object brightness and size. You can see the Andromeda Galaxy naked eye, and that’s 2 million light years. Amateur scopes this size can detect quasars 3 billion light years out. The real question is how faint can you see (limiting magnitude). A small asteroid 1/1000th of a light year away can be harder to see with a telescope than the Andromeda Galaxy naked eye.
Well, it doesn't have a "lens." This is a Newtonian reflector, not a refractor. It has a parabolic mirror.
This is a nice first telescope. This is what someone who isn't sure about back-yard astronomy should get to see if this is the right hobby. You get a decent scope, with a barely decent mount. My guess is that the 4mm eye-piece won't be too useful with the barlow, but the 200mm certainly will.

I would wait at least a couple of weeks so you can experience the full effects of the roll. 5 htp is definitely a good supplement to produce serotonin. 5 htp also helps with the come down. Make sure you drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Oh yea and DO NOT drink alcohol while you're thizzin, i've seen a lot of homies get hurt that way. Be safe and don't make it a habit.

Injanier has already given you an excellent answer, and I agree with all that he has said. In addition to the orthoscopics he recommended, I would recommend Orion Ultrascopics and Tele Vue Plössls. The latter are very reasonably priced and are significantly better quality that the generic Chinese Plössls everyone else sells. The Celestron kit is a waste of money. The eyepieces are all second rate, and the filters not much use. Instead get a couple of good quality eyepieces and you'll be a lot happier. With your scope, I'd recommend something around 5 to 6 mm, giving you 167x to 200x, a good magnification for planets. If the short eye relief is a problem, either go to a Barlow lens and a 10 to 12 mm eyepiece, or look at the Orion Stratus series, which offer excellent qulaitity, wide field of view, and long eye relief. Be sure to get a decent Barlow, like the Orion Shorty Plus or the Tele Vue, as the cheaper Barlows are junk.
ok, you could have asked this in the astronomy & space forum too – but it's ok in Physics…
The magnification of a telescope is given by
M = -Focal_length_of_scope / Focal_length_of_eyepiece. So we can rearrange this to be
-M*5mm = Focal_length_of_scope = 225*5 mm = 1125mm
To work out the total length of the scope remember that the focal lengths of the eyepiece and scope are added together – so you could expect it to be about 1130mm long.
